While we are one of the most technologically advanced nations on the planet, we also have one of the highest rates of stress. Last year, more than one hundred million prescriptions were written for benzodiazepines such as Xanax and Valium.
When we hold on to stress, it creates ulcers, cancer, heart disease, etc. It often produces: anxiety, panic attacks, and sleep disorders. To alleviate the stress we accumulate, many of us turn to unhealthy escapes such as junk food, nicotine, gambling, alcohol or drugs.
Relaxation has shown to be a key component in treatment of many disorders, particularly those brought on or made worse by stress.
The Harmonial Therapy Program is an interactive stress management program designed to provide deep and lasting relaxation through stabilization and balancing of the central nervous system.

Its unique approach is designed to gauge the individual’s receptivity to various shades and colors of light using biofeedback. Additional personal data is collected and analyzed through Harmonials diagnostic computer, which creates a customized program designed specifically for each individual to produce the ultimate in deep relaxation.
Each subsequent 26 minute program re-calibrates the recipient’s current mood and creates new Harmonial Therapy session predicated on their body’s current state of well being. No two Harmonial Therapy sessions are ever exactly alike.
This powerful system provides a personalized therapeutic experience that restores balance to the mind and body.

In the early 90's, BME Electronics met Dr. Jean Claude Darras who was testing out a new relaxation concept in his Parisian medical practice, based on the use of audio/video sessions that he had created. Dr. Darras measured the stress levels in patients and found that patients were significantly more relaxed after viewing his video. Dr. Darras teamed with Pascal Luong who, after trial and error wrote the Relaxial concept (Now known as Harmonial) technical specifications and transmitted it to BME's research and development department. From there, a the bio-feedback lumitest was integrated into the audio/video sessions.
BME began selling "Relaxial" in 1997. The results were spectacular. In 2000, a new research and development team was formed at BME Electronics in Bordeaux, France. This team includes, Dr. Elisabeth Rosse, Ph.D, (Victimologist and Psychologist), Frank Nabet, (Music Therapist), Jean Michel Bascole, (Computer Programming and Project Manager), and Olivier Villenave, (Audio/Video programmer). This new team transformed the Relaxial concept into the Harmonial Therapy Program. Specific Harmonial software was written and new components and technologies were added. The development team continues to upgrade Harmonial Therapy software for it's various uses as well as refine it's measurement tools.
In 2007, BME Electronics partnered with Harmonix Corp. to Introduce Harmonial Therapy to the United States. |
